On the evening of July 13, 2018, on the eve of Bastille Day, the town of Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer came alive with a unique event: Le Songe d’une Nuit en Camargue. Set in the wild and iconic landscape of southern France, between sea, marshes, and local traditions, this cultural and artistic evening brought together a large audience eager to experience an immersive show blending music, light, and emotion. For the technical success of this special night, iDzia was entrusted with handling the full production: sound, lighting, and stage structures.

The challenge was considerable: to install a complete technical setup outdoors, in an unconventional natural setting, while ensuring optimal sound quality and lighting adapted to the atmosphere and setting of the event. The iDzia team rose to the occasion with professionalism and creativity, providing a tailor-made technical solution designed to suit the terrain of the Camargue and the visual aesthetics of the performance.

For the sound, a high-performance system was deployed to ensure clear, even distribution across the entire site, allowing every audience member, regardless of their location, to enjoy rich, balanced, and immersive audio. The technical choices were made with a deep respect for the nature of the event: an open-air artistic performance blending live music, soundscapes, and moments of narrative silence.

Lighting played a central role in setting the mood of the evening. Carefully designed to enhance the scenography while respecting the natural beauty of the Camargue landscape, the lighting setup included LED projectors, dynamic effects, and finely controlled intensities that created stunning visual scenes, perfectly aligned with the artistic direction of the show.

The stage structure was also thoughtfully designed to meet the technical needs of the performance while ensuring safety, aesthetics, and minimal visual impact on the natural surroundings. iDzia’s involvement was carried out in close collaboration with event organizers, artists, and local authorities.
